Description

Remains of ground spruce needle samples taken at five occasions (T1-T5) in the nutrient optimisation experiment 1477 Flakaliden in year 1999. T stands for occasion/tillfälle in Swedish. The ground samples consist of needles from branch whorl 7, age class C+1-needles. Ground needles (T1-T5) = sample no. Fla 1683-1714. A key list of sample numbers is available for download. The sampling also included C-needles and C+2-needles which were saved but not analysed.

Background information

The serial branch sampling at Flakaliden were reduced to only include needle sampling. The branches were no longer processed as they were at the beginning of the series sampling. The sampling includes three treatments: control (C), solid fertilisation (F) and irrigation with liquid fertiliser (IL). Needle samples were also taken on plots with treatments F-P and F-Mg in October 1999 (T5). Ten trees per treatment were sampled, a total of 30 trees at each occasion.
