Description
Unground spruce needle samples taken 2006-06-13 (occasion T1) in the nutrient optimisation experiment 1477 Flakaliden. T stands for occasion/tillfälle in Swedish. The sampling includes four treatments: control (C), solid fertilisation (F), irrigation with liquid fertiliser (IL) and Ash (A). The samples are pooled samples consisting of C+1-shoots from branch whorl 7 from the five trees on each plot. In 2006, plot 1-15 were sampled, both A and B parcels, in total 20 parcels. A key list of sample numbers is available for download. Needle samples taken in 2006 have not been analysed
Background information
After the thinning of Flakaliden experimental site in 2004, some changes were made in the serial branch sampling. No sampling was carried out 2004 due to the thinning. In 2005, new sample trees were selected in three diameter classes. Two trees with average diameter, two trees with diameter +1.5 SD and one tree with diameter -1.5 SD were selected on each plot. From 2005 and onwards, pooled samples consisting of C+1-shoots from five trees were taken per plot.

- Miscellaneous 2022: Needle samples from treatment C (parcel 4A, 6A, 10A,14A), F (parcel 15A) and IL (parcel1A, 7A, 9A, 13A) are stored in a special batch series that includes C+1 needle samples from 1987 to 2020.
